Soilmoisture signs on new distributor for Germany

On Wednesday, January 18^th, Soilmoisture was happy to bring on board our newest dealer, UGT GmbH of Germany! UGT has been in operation since 1992, and in May will celebrate their 25^th anniversary. Like Soilmoisture, UGT offers a wide range of quality equipment for soil physics, hydrology, agronomy, plant physiology, and other scientific disciplines. UGT’s facilities in Germany, located in both Müncheberg (Headquarters) and Freising-Weihenstephan (South Branch), include soil labs and other demonstration areas where they host regular educational workshops for the benefit of their customers and community.

Visiting on behalf of UGT was their Managing Director, Dr. Sascha Reth. Dr. Sascha Reth studied biology at the University of Kaiserslautern. He then completed his graduate dissertation at the University of Bayreuth with the topic “Improved estimates of CO2 and N2O flow rates of soils of Central European ecosystems - development of conceptual innovations of soil emission models”. In 2008, he set up the south branch of UGT GmbH in Freising, Germany. Since 2012 he is both the Managing Director and a Partner at UGT.
