Sales & Technical Support
Job Description:
This is a position for someone that has a graduate (BS or MS) degree in soils, earth, or plant sciences and likes people and solving problems. Someone that's shown an ability to sell instrumentation for field equipment or instrumentation. You would be helping customers from around the world find the right equipment to answer soils, plant, environmental and earth sciences questions It's a position that requires "real smarts" in field oriented instrumentation, with technical expertise, how to use it, and how best to install such equipment for both commercial or research needs. It also means helping those customers that need technical support with equipment already purchased. Job Duties:
- Taking and handling Sales Calls for Instrumentation or Services
- Providing Technical Support to international and domestic customers
- Entering Orders / Quotes as may be required - using enterprise software applications
- Authorizing RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) for repairs or replacements
- Follow-up on Orders, Technical Support, or RMA matters to assure follow-through
- Occasional Sales -Trade Shows - 2-3 times / year or as may be required
- Presentation of Products to others for Technical Training
- Overseeing instructional materials for technical content and accuracy to print / WEB
- Occasional field visits for sales, installation, upgrading of equipment.
- Development of specialized equipment for specific customer needs.
